My proudest work of 2020! This was my Father's Day present to my dad that I worked on during the lockdown events of the spring of 2020. This project took me about 20-30 hours to cut out, plus another 10-15 hours to clean up, assemble and finish.
I found this pattern from a man in Spain who recreates patterns from a catalog that sold fretwork patterns back in the early 1900s.
I started by drilling hundreds of holes into a piece of 1/4" walnut and then spending a few hours a night cutting each hole out individually over the course of a few weeks.
